What You Envy in Others Is Inside You

Standing in our dining room I looked down at my legs and was shocked to see they were swollen above the knees. How did this happen I wondered as if living in a dream world? 

To be fair I had been playing Pickleball for the past 5 weeks and been going at it hard in order to get better. Then added on tennis a week earlier so my body was adjusting to a lot of activity in a short time span. Lets not forget about the 30+ pounds I'd put on over the past year.  It was in that moment though that I decided enough is enough. If I wanted to play Tennis and Pickleball with more ease then I had to lose weight.

Lets back up a bit. For those that don't know me or maybe don't this story. In 2021 I decided to lose weight and over 2 years I lost 70 pounds by myself without joining a gym or paying for a program. That's a whole other blog post for another day but if I could lose 70 pounds once, I could lose the extra weight I was currently carrying.

So I've been on a journey the past 7 weeks to change my weight and I'm not there yet but I've made a nice dent. For me the exercise got locked in as well when I lost the 70 pounds so that's easy for me but I love desserts and sometimes chips. My sister was lamenting to me yesterday that she envied me because I'm so dialed in and she started with me but fell off the bandwagon and I gave her quite the pep talk.

When I got up early to work out this thought came to me and this morning as we drove to play Pickleball I looked at her and said: "What you envy in me is inside of you." She just kind of looked at me and I explained that I made a choice and I stuck with it and she too could make the same choice. There is so much to weight loss I could talk about and hoping to create a guide of what helped me in the future.

So who are you envying right now? What choice are you willing to make if you want that for yourself?  It really is that simple but you have to commit and follow though.
